John Alfred Cotton, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 14th July, 1914; 6 years. Filed 26th November, 1913. Receipt No. 231,667.

Claim –1. A piano pedal extension of the class described comprising a bracket having a top member, side members supporting said top, tail pieces located at the base of the said side members and adapted to engage with the bottom of the piano, and means of operating the piano pedals, as and for purpose specified.

2. A piano pedal extension of the class described comprising a bracket having a top member having orifices therethrough, sides supporting the said top, a guide plate located beneath such top and supported by the said sides having therethrough designed to register with the aforesaid orifices, and means operating in the said orifices designed to engage with the piano pedals, as and for the purpose specified.

3. A piano pedal extension of the class described comprising a bracket having a top member having orifices therethrough, side members supporting said top, a guide plate provided with orifices designed to register with the aforesaid orifices, plungers operating in the said orifices, the lower ends of the said plungers being designed to engage with the pedals, as and for the purpose specified.

4. A piano pedal extension of the class described comprising a bracket having a top member having orifices therethrough and sides supporting said top, a guide plate located beneath such top and supported by the said sides and having orifices therethrough designed to register with the aforesaid orifices, plungers operating in the said orifices, the lower ends of such plungers engaging with the pedals, the upper ends terminating in suitable heads having resilient pads fixed thereon, and means of securing such pads in position, as and for the purpose specified.

5. A piano pedal extension of the class described comprising a bracket having a top member having orifices therethrough and sides supporting said top, a guide plate located beneath such top and supported by the said sides and having orifices therethrough designed to register with the aforesaid orifices, plunders operating in the said orifices, the lower ends of such plungers engaging with the pedals, the upper ends terminating in suitable heads having resilient pads fixed thereon, and hoops extending on and around the outer ends of said plungers and designed to secure the said resilient pads in position, as and for the purpose specified.

6. A piano pedal extension of the class described comprising a bracket having a top member, side members supporting the said top member, a shield extending upwardly from the said top member and at substantially right angles thereto, and means of operating the piano pedals, as and for the purpose specified.

7. A piano pedal extension of the class described comprising a bracket having a top member having orifices therethrough, side members supporting the said top member, a guide plate located beneath such top and supported by the said sides, and having orifices therethrough designed to register with the aforesaid orifices, felt rings on and round the periphery of the said orifices, plungers operating in the said orifices designed to engage with the pedals, as and for the purpose specified.

8. A piano pedal extension of the class described comprising a bracket having a top member having orifices therethrough, and sides supporting the said top, a guide plate located beneath such top and supported by the said sides and having orifices therethrough designed to register with the aforesaid orifices, plungers operating in the said orifices, the lower ends of such plungers engaging with the pedals, the upper ends terminating in suitable heads, pins located on the periphery of said plunger, and a spiral spring engaging with the said guide plate and the said pins, as and for the purpose specified.
