Description: Having regard to the foregoing disclosure, the patent of which this specification forms part confers, subject to the conditions prescribed in The Patent Act, 1935, the exclusive right. privilege and liberty of making, constructing, using and vending to others to be used, the invention as defined in claims submitted by the patentee as follows:-

(1) In combination with a match box for double tipped matches, a cutter on one side of the box for severing one or other of the charred ends of the matches after use.
(2) In combination with a match box for double tipped matches, a cutter on one of the abrasive sides of the box for severing one or other of the charred ends of the matches after use.
(3) In combination with a match box for double tipped matches, a cutter on one side of the box for severing one or other of the charred ends of the matches after use, said cutter taking the form of a blade lying flush with the side of the box on which the cutter is positioned, said blade forming part of the rim of an aperture on said side.
(4) In combination with a match box for double tipped matches, a cutter on one of the abrasive sides of the box for severing one or other of the charred ends of the matches after use, said cutter taking the form of a blade lying flush with the side of the box on which the cutter is positioned, said blade forming part of the rim of an aperture on said side.
(5) A match box for holding double tipped matches characterized by the provision of an aperture on one of the sides thereof, a blade secured to the inner surface of the side in which said aperture is formed, said blade partially intercepting said aperture to facilitate the severing of one or other of the charred ends of matches inserted through said aperture and brought into incising contact with said blade.
(6) A match box for double tipped matches provided with an aperture on one side thereof, at least a portion of the rim of said aperture being stiffened, the corner of the tray of said match box which slides adjacent to said aperture being also stiffened or reinforced as and for the purpose specified.
