Claim.-1. A swing of the class described having means whereby the user can oscillate the same and adjustable means for limiting the distance of such oscillations in both directions.

2. A swing of the class described having hand gripping sliding means co-operating with the suspending ropes for providing an oscillating movement of the said swing, and means for limiting the movement of the said sliding means fin both directions.

3. A swing of the class described having hand grips slidably mounted on the suspending ropes of the swing, and pulling ropes connected at one end to the said hand grips at the other end to the swing support.

4. A swing of the class described having hand grips slidably mounted on the suspending ropes of the swing, pulley blocks carried by the suspending ropes, pulling ropes connected at one end to the said hand grips and passing around the said pulley blocks, the other end being connected to the swing support.

5. A swing of the class described having hand grips slidably mounted on the suspending ropes of the swing, pulling ropes connected at one end to the swing support at the other end to the hand grips, and means for maintaining the pulling ropes in a state of tension.

6. A swing of the class described having hand grips slidably mounted in the suspending ropes of the swing, a counterbalance pivotally mounted on the swing support provided with crank arm ends, and pulling ropes connected at one end to the said crank arm ends and at the other end to the hand grips, substantially as described.
