Claim.-1. A gate comprising a frame, a pair of barrier members pivotally mounted towards the lower end of the frame and designed to be rotated in a vertical plane, arcuate guides on the barrier members, and bolts on the frame co-acting with the arcuate guides, as and for the purpose specified.

2. a gate comprising a frame, barrier members pivoted to the lower end of the frame, arcuate guides on the barrier members, means on the frame co-acting with the guides, and flexible members attached to the barrier members and the frame whereby the barrier members may be rotated about their pivotal point.

3. A gate comprising a frame, a pair of barrier members pivoted to the lower end of the frame, guide means on the barrier members whereby the barriers remain in the same plane during opening or closing and cover plates on one of the barrier members designed to co-act with the other barrier member when closed.
