Claim.—The combination with a phonograph having a top plate and motor connected thereto, an indicator disc arranged on said plate gears mounted on said motor, a shaft slidably mounted on said plate, said shaft being threaded for a portion of its length, gears arranged on said shaft and meshing with the motor gears for actuating said shaft axially in either direction, a pulley mounted on said shaft, a hand mounted on said disc, a pin, a rod, link connection between the rod and pin shaft, a bar connected to said; rod and having its lower end engaging said pulley whereby the indicating hand will be actuated upon said disc, when the said shaft is moved in either direction.
