Inventor: Albert, Herbert

Location: Edmonton

Comments: N/A

Description: The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
1. In a bowling alley pin resetting machine, apparatus for elevation of pins from the pit, means for discharging pins to recharging apparatus for recharging a plurality of pin holding mechanisms disposed in a horizontal triangular array on a vertically movable carriage arranged above the alley, means for counting the pins fed to such pin holding mechanisms operative to control said means for discharging pins from the elevator to arrest further discharging after predetermined number of pins has been discharged, and means actuated by vertical movement of said carriage to reset said counting means to enable a further predetermined number of pins to be fed to said pin holding mechanisms.
2. In a bowling alley pin resetting machine, a vertically movable carriage disposed above the alley, a plurality of pin holding mechanisms secured thereto in a triangular array corresponding to the arrangement of the pins on the alley, means for oscillating said carriage between an upper recharging position and a lower position in which the pin holding mechanisms are disposed closely adjacent the surface of the alley to perform a resetting operation, apparatus for recharging successively said pin holding mechanisms, said apparatus comprising a conveyor and a plurality of deflecting members, and means controlling said conveyor sensitive to downward movement of said carriage whereby to arrest movement of said conveyor during a setting operation.
