Timed Rotary Program (Patent No: 378618)

Inventor: Watt, William Henry

Location: Longview

Comments: N/A

Description: CLAIMS:-

1. In a timed rotary radio program display device as described, comprising a cabinet having a time piece therein, a tape carrying a radio program printed thereon and mounted on a drum, said tape arranged to be transferred to a second drum and intermediately to pass adjacent to an aperture in the front panel of the cabinet, said second drum mounted on a horizontal shaft in alignment with and connected to the central shaft of a time piece.
2. In a timed rotary radio program display device as described, comprising a cabinet having a time piece therein, a tape carrying a radio program printed thereon and mounted on a drum, said tape arranged to be transferred to a second drum and intermediately to pass adjacent to an aperture in the front panel of the cabinet, said second drum mounted on a horizontal shaft in alignment with and connected directly to the central shaft of a time piece to be actuated by said time piece in co-ordination therewith, said time piece and said tape being visible through said aperture.
3. In a timed rotary radio program display device as described, comprising a cabinet having a time piece therein, a tape carrying a radio program printed thereon and mounted on a drum, said tape arranged to be transferred to a second drum and intermediately to pass adjacent to an aperture in the front panel of the cabinet, said second drum mounted on a horizontal shaft in alignment with and connected directly to the central shaft of a time piece to be actuated by said time piece in co-ordination therewith, said time piece and said tape being visible through said aperture, and indicating means associated with said aperture to define the time and the corresponding program.
4. In a radio program display device having a time piece associated therewith, said time piece having a vertical rotary face mounted on a horizontal shaft, program tape drums rotatably mounted in a frame in horizontal shafts, one of which is in alignment with and connected to the said time piece shaft from whence the rotary motive power is derived, said time piece face and one of said rotary drums being co-ordinated with each other to display the time and the corresponding radio program as indicated on the said printed program page.
5. In a radio program display device having a time piece associated therewith, said time piece having a vertical rotary face mounted on a horizontal shaft, program tape drums rotatably mounted in a frame on horizontal shafts, one of which is in alignment with and connected to the said time piece shaft from whence the rotary power motive power is derived, said time piece face and one of said rotary drums being co-ordinated with each other to display the time and the corresponding radio program as indicated on the said printed program tape, and means whereby said program tape drums may be removed from said frame and replaced with a new drum.
6. In a radio program display device having a time piece associated therewith, said time piece having a vertical rotary face mounted on a horizontal shaft, program tape drums rotatably mounted in a frame on horizontal shafts, one of which is in alignment with and connected to the said time piece from whence the rotary face mounted on a horizontal shaft, program tape drums rotatably mounted in a frame on horizontal shafts, one of which is in alignment with and connected to said time piece shaft from whence the rotary motive power is derived said time piece face and one of said rotary drums co-ordinated with each other to display the time and corresponding radio program as indicated on the said printed program tape, and means whereby said program tape drums may be removed from said frame and replaced with a new drum, and spring actuated brake means associated with the otherwise free drum, substantially as set forth.
