Mechanical Toy Horse (Patent No: 313672)

Description: Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

1. A mechanical toy horse including a platform; a figure carried on said platform and having a separated head adapted for turning on the main portion of the figure forward and rare axles mounted beneath said platform; a steering rod extended through said platform and through said figure with the turned flattened end of said steering rod secured in the head of said figure; the lower end of said rod being angularly extended beneath said platform; steering connection between the last mentioned end of said rod and the stub section of said forward axle; and means operable in said rear axle for propelling said mechanical toy horse.
2. A mechanical toy horse including a platform; a figure mounted on said platform; bolster extended transversely beneath said platform; forward stub axle rotatable in one of said bolsters; forward wheels carried on said forward stub axles; a steering rod extended vertically through said platform and through a portion of said figure; the lower end of said vertical steering rod being angularly extended and operatively connected with said forward stub axles to operate the latter; the head of said figure being separated from the main portion of the figure at the neck thereof; the upper end of said steering rod being flattened and extended at an angle; means for securing said flattened upper end of the vertical steering rod in the head of said figure; a rear axle rotatable in the other bolster; propelling means carried in the body of said figure; and driving connections between said propelling means and said rear axle.
