Description: Cecil Davidson, Alliance, Alberta, Canada, 4th December, 1928. Filed 8th February, 1928. Serial No. 333,708.

Claim.—1. An animal trap provided with spring operated jaws, a trip pan, an arm integral with said trip pan and laterally extending therefrom to directly engage over one of said jaws when opened, a leg integral with said arm and depending therefrom at a point removed from the extremity thereof, said leg being conveniently pivoted to a base plate of the trap in a manner to hinge the trip pan, and a spring disposed between said arm and the said base plate in a manner to affect said arm and trip pan as and for the purpose specified.

2. An animal trap provided with spring operated jaws, a trip pan, an arm integral with said trip pan and laterally extending therefrom to directly engage over one of said jaws when opened, said arm having the upper plane of the extremity, substantially beveled, a leg integral with said arm and depending therefrom at a point removed from the extremity thereof, said leg being conveniently pivoted to a base plate of the trap in a manner to hinge the trip pan, and a spring disposed between said arm and the said base plate in a manner to affect said arm and trip pan as and for the purpose specified.

3. An animal trap provided with spring operated jaws, a trip pan, an arm integral with said trip pan and laterally extending therefrom to directly engage over one of said jaws when opened, said arm having the upper plane of its extremity, substantially beveled, a leg integral with said arm and depending therefrom at a point removed from the extremity thereof, said leg being conveniently pivoted to a base plate of the trap in a manner to hinge the trip pan, a link disposed over and around said arm, said link being anchored to said base plate, and a spring disposed between said arm and the said base plate in a manner to affect said arm and trip pan as and for the purpose specified.
