Paraffin Scraper and Rod Centralizer (Patent No: 800390)

Description: The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

1. A paraffin scraper and rod centralizer for sucker rod pumping comprising a sucker rod, a paraffin scraper made of urethane and molded onto a sucker rod in a predetermined position, the said paraffin scraper formed with spaced vertically formed projecting edges and vertical sides integral with the said spaced vertically formed projecting edges.

2. A paraffin scraper and rod centralizer for sucker rod pumping as defined in claim 1 in which the vertical edges of the said paraffin scraper slope inwardly at their tops and bottoms to meet the outer surface of said sucker rod.

3. A paraffin scraper and rod centralizer for sucker rod pumping as defined in claim I in which the said vertical sides are curved inwardly in horizontal cross section with their central parts contacting the outer surface of the said sucker rod.

4. A paraffin scraper and rod centralizer for sucker rod pumping as defined in claim 1 in which the said vertical sides of the said paraffin scraper are flat and spaced away from the outer side of the said sucker rod.

5. A paraffin scraper and rod centralizer for sucker rod pumping as defined in claims I and 3 in which the said paraffin scraper consists of three spaced vertically formed projecting edges and vertical sides integral with the said spaced vertically formed edges to form a triangular horizontal cross section.

6. A paraffin scraper and rod centralizer for sucker rod pumping as defined in claim 1 in which the said paraffin scraper consists of four spaced vertically formed projecting edges and four vertical sides which are curved inwardly in horizontal cross section and are integral with the said four vertically spaced projecting edges, and the said four vertical sides are spaced away from the outer side of said sucker rod.
