Description:
(1) A safety valve comprising a cylindrical shell which is provided with a plurality of longitudinal openings, an outside threaded and bored end which screws into the machine in which the said valve is used, and an inside threaded upper end into which screws a pressure adjusting screw, a pressure adjusting screw bored longitudinally through its center into which fits freely the cylindrical rod of a plunger, a plunger which consists of a long cylindrical rod having a thickened cylindrical end which is finished off into a hemisphere, said hemispherical part of the plunger being pressed tightly against the sharp edge of the bolted channel inside of the attachment end of the valve, and a spring Which is held tightly between the adjusting screw and the thickened hemispherical end of the plunger.

(2) A valve such as described in Claim 1 and provided with a sealed cover for the adjusting screw, essentially as described.
