Description: John W. Chisholm, Wardlow, Alberta, Canada, 12th February, 1924. Filed 26th December, 1922. Serial No. 273,140.

Claim.—1. As an article of manufacture, an ink container including a receptacle, and closure means comprising a plug carried by said receptacle having a passageway therethrough, a bolt member including a head and a screw threaded stem, said head adapted for co-operation upon the inner end of said plug, and a nut adapted for adjustable engagement with the screw threaded stem of said bolt outwardly of the plug member and including a portion adapted for seating on the outer end of said plug member whereby the bolt and nut may serve as a closure for sealing the passageway through said plug.

3. As an article of manufacture, an ink container comprising a, receptacle having an outlet opening therein, a stem including a valve head for co-operation in said outlet opening, and a scaling member adjustable on said stem adapted to be adjusted therealong whereby the same may be properly spaced from the valve head so that the same may be moved to permit ink to now through said outlet opening, said member adapted for adjustment upon said stem so that the valve head and sealing member may be clamped over the outlet opening of said container to prevent flow of ink therefrom.

6. An ink well comprising a base portion providing an upwardly extending substantially conical projection therein, a container supported by said base portion having an outlet opening therein, and a valve device supported within said outlet opening having a recess therein adapted to rest on, said conical portion of the base member whereby the same may be adjusted within the outlet opening of said container to permit flow of ink from the container into said base portion of the ink well.
