Organization Name: CCI

Organization Mission Statement: Since its beginning in 1963 the CCI Volunteer Association (formerly known as The Auxiliary to the Edmonton Cancer Clinic) mission remains the same “to enhance the care and comfort of patients”. The volunteers make a unique contribution to the establishment of a hopeful and comforting healing environment at the Cross. As a volunteer organization we recognize that “Many Volunteer Hands Make Light Work”. More important, however, is our belief that it is not really work at all – it is a privilege and honor to be at the service of our neighbor in a time of need.

Organization Focus: Today over 460 volunteers provide 25-30 different programs. Over the past 42 years volunteers have contributed in excess of 830,000 hours to patient enhancement and over $2,035,262 dollar to enhance patient care. Volunteers can be found in all waiting areas serving refreshments, assisting in clinics, transporting patients, operating a Gift Shop & Café, providing wig service and patient information, guiding patients to correct area and supporting inpatient.

Organization Focus: CHED Santas Anonymous is devoted to collecting, wrapping and delivering toys to the less fortunate children in Edmonton. Organization Name: Cochrane Activettes

Organization Mission Statement: To engage in charitable welfare and/or civic work in the community To gain knowledge and attain self-improvement in order to develop into more useful citizens To promote friendship and good will among the members

Organization Focus: The major focus is the "Share Your Christmas" program. The Activettes mobilize the entire community to donate food, toys and money to make Christmas brighter and happier for needy families in the service area. The Activettes also provide a year round hamper program via the Cochrane Food Bank. In 1994 the Activettes took over the running of the Clothesline, a thrift store, whose objective is to provide clean clothing at minimal cost or no cost according to needy persons. Other service projects the Activettes are involved in are: Meals to Go, lunches for school programs, Cochrane Christmas Lite-up and the Blood Donor clinics. We are strong supporters of the Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and many other organizations in the service area.
