Organization Mission Statement: "Project Warmth is a registered charitable organization that provides warm clothing, blankets, sleeping bags, outer wear and related items to the underprivileged and homeless. As well, Project Warmth is involved with school children, under its umbrella organizations Kids' Koats, Pupils' Parks and Students' Scarves."

Organization Focus: Fundraising through special events and activities. Collecting outer wear, coats, boots, scarves, gloves, etc. (New or used) for distribution to the needy. Our volunteers place donation boxes throughout the City and have placed clothing drop-off boxes in various locations, including fire halls.

Organization Mission Statement: Excellence in prostate cancer education, awareness and research.

Organization Focus: To provide current information, facilitate diagnosis and research, and coordinate community and family support for men who may have prostate cancer and prostate-related disease. Volunteers-men who have had prostate cancer, their partners and other committed individuals are our key resource. Volunteers with prostate cancer experience offer supportive listening and help visitors access information and resources approved by the Medical Advisory Board and available for loan. Speakers Bureau volunteers share their experience and knowledge of prostate cancer with corporate and community groups via presentations and displays. Volunteers are instrumental in fund development and special events.

Organization Mission Statement: The principle aim of The Columbia Learning Society is to provide bursaries to children and adults who wish to attend workshops, seminars, courses or programs at Columbia College.

Organization Focus: Each Saturday from September through the end of May, The Columbia Learning Society offers free adult workshops. These workshops cover a variety of topics from computer applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, to study skills and conflict resolution. There are also free tutoring sessions running during the same months. Volunteer tutors are available to assist youth with academic difficulties they may be experiencing in their school studies.
