Claim.—1. An oat separator comprising a frame, a hopper mounted on said frame, an oscillating platform carried by said frame, a slide member arranged below said hopper for regulating the passage of the grain to the platform, means for imparting movement to said slide member, and means for actuating said platform.

2. An oat separator comprising a supporting frame, a hopper arranged on said frame and having an outlet opening, an oscillating platform mounted on said frame, a slide member for controlling the hopper outlet opening, a belt operable on said platform, means for imparting movement to said platform and slide member, and means regulating the hopper opening.
