Wolverine Lake

It was officially named in 1991. At one time there was a large wolverine population in the area surrounding the lake. By the early 1940s, the wolverine had been trapped out. The wolverine is a large fur-bearing animal of distinctive temperament that inhabits the tundra and northern forests. (see also Carcajou)

Approximately 71 km south-east of Grande Prairie.
