Cladonia Lake

The name Cladonia was chosen for this lake because it is in the centre of the Cladonia Fire Problem Area. The name Cladonia comes from a common species of lichen in the area, Cladonia rangiferina, which becomes very dry and thus is susceptible to fires during the summer months.

Approximately 149 km north-east of High Level.
