Geikie Lake

The name was submitted in 1958 by the Research Council of Alberta, and is one of a series of features in the area named after prominent geologists. It is named "after Sir Archibald Geikie (1835-1924), eminent Scottish geologist, [and] one-time Director of the British Geological Survey." Holmgren, 1976.

Approximately 351 km north of Fort McMurray.
