Flyingshot Lake

The name was established and in local use before 1907, when the first Dominion Land Surveyor came to the district, from the fact that ducks were shot during flight over the lake, which lies between two feeding grounds. According to the local history, an aboriginal people's name for the lake is ka-nawaata-hiket.

Approximately 5 km south-west of Grande Prairie.
