Black Fox Island

The name for this island located in Lac La Biche has been official since at least 1958 and is likely descriptive. The Cree name for the feature is Paskwaw Ministik, or "Cow Island," referring to the fact that Mission cattle were pastured on the island circa 1860-80.

Approximately 10 km north-west of Lac La Biche.
