In order to arrive at numbers of immigrants of Italian origin in these regions, the most important resources are the local history books, as well as books such as Anne (McMullen) Belliveau's Small Moments in Time and Toni Ross's Oh! The Coal Branch. These listings of individuals are only preliminary and more research needs to be done with mine employment records as well as oral history interviews.
