On Saturday, 18th October, the Santa Maria Goretti Community Centre was the setting of the first gala organized by the Societ? Femminile. The evening which was comprised of a gala dinner, entertainment and dance, was enjoyed by all. Profits from ticket sales will be presented to Father Feccia for the Community Centre. |

In September a national conference of Italian-Canadian writers was hosted in Vancouver by the Italian Cultural Centre. At the end of this very successful five-day conference the writers decided to form an Association of Italian-Canadian Writers with a broad national representation. The writers felt that there was a very strong need for this association. |
