1-Understand your mission, share your vision.

2-Show respect for others and their views.

3-Share the credit for success.       

4-Create a balance between seriousness and fun. Social interactive is healthy.

5-Don t be a straw boss; rather a working leader. Bosses drive while leaders direct.

6-Create listening sessions. Allow employees freedom of expression.

7-Build trusting relationships i.e. lunch with small groups.

8-Commend more than criticize. Point out mistakes, but commend good work.

9-Do not become a perfectionist leader. Expecting perfection could destroy achieving excellence.

10-Do not build teams in your own image. Seek diversity of skills, experiences, ethnicity, gendered.

11-Communicate for action by giving clear direction and instruction.

12-Trust yourself and your judgment.
