The field of anthropology promotes a holistic understanding of social life by offering complex accounts of human histories, societies, and cultures. Anthropologists do ethnographic, archival, and archaeological research on various aspects of individual and collective experience in all time periods and parts of the world. Options include the major, two interdepartmental majors (geography-anthropology, sociology-anthropology), and a correlate sequence. Read more.
