Data Feature Heading

Since 2003, Amber Waves has been the premier magazine for ERS, covering the full range of our research and analysis, including articles on food, agriculture, rural America, and the environment. Over time, the magazine has evolved with the addition of podcasts, RSS feeds, and tweets.

As of 2012, the magazine is exclusively electronic – at your fingertips 24/7 and available on a variety of devices – and we will continue to release new issues quarterly. You can be notified every time something new is published in Amber Waves through e-mail updates and RSS feeds. Watch us transform over the next year as we modernize the ERS website with state-of-the-art technology.

We hope you will enjoy Amber Waves as an electronic subscriber. Please join us as we continue to explore new and exciting ways to share our research and analysis with you, our valued customers.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact John Weber at AmberWavesEditor@ERS.usda.gov.

Unless otherwise noted, the Economic Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture is the source for all charts and tables shown in this magazine, although the underlying raw data often come from other agencies.

The Economic Research Service (ERS) is the main source of economic information and research from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Located in Washington, DC, with approximately 350 employees, the mission of ERS is to inform and enhance public and private decisionmaking on economic and policy issues related to agriculture, food, natural resources, and rural development. To accomplish this mission, highly trained economists and social scientists develop and distribute a broad range of economic and other social science information and analysis.

Amber Waves contains articles by ERS researchers and their collaborators. Amber Waves does not accept articles from outside researchers. Use of commercial and trade names does not imply approval or constitute endorsement by USDA.
