LAUGHTER CLASS FOR CAREGIVERS


PROPOSAL FOR LAUGHING EXERCISES


EXPLANATION: FOR 7 YEARS I WAS MY FATHERS PRIMARY CAREGIVER. FOR THREE OF THOSE IT WAS A 24/7 HONOR WITH THE HELP OF OTHER CAREGIVERS. AFTER HIS DEATH I FELT THAT I NEEDED TO DISLODGE BIG FEELINGS FROM MY MIND AND BODY AND HAD READ STUDIES THAT LAUGHTER IS A GOOD RELEASE. SO I TOOK A COURSE WITH STEVE WILSON AND LEARNED SIMPLE LAUGHTER EXERCISES.
AS WE ALL KNOW, LAUGHTER REDUCES STRESS, RAISES SERATONIN ETC. SO IF YOU ARE WILLING TO JOIN, PLEASE DO SO BUT FOLLOW YOUR HEART AND DO SO ONLY IF YOU GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION.
1. TO BEGIN, STRETCH YOUR SHOULDERS, YOUR FACE, YOUR HANDS ....

2. I WILL USE AN EASY SIGNALLING SYSTEM TO INDICATE WHEN WE "END" THE LAUGHTER EXERCISE.(HAHHAHA HO HO HO HEE HEEHEE)WE DO THAT ALL TOGETHER.

3. THEN WE WILL DO A LAUGH FOR THE 3 MAJOR AREAS OF THE BODY. PLEASE BRING YOUR HANDS TO YOUR LOWER ABDOMEN AND MAKE A LOW LAUGH WHICH I WILL DEMONSTRATE.THEN TO MID BODY(DO) THEN TO HEAD(DO).

4. (POSSIBLE SUGGESTION BUT HAVE TO FEEL THE MOOD OF THE CROWD TO CREATE THE CORRECT ONE)NOW TURN TO THE NEIGHBOR ON YOUR RIGHT AND TELL THEM A 2 MINUTE STORY ABOUT A TV PROGRAM YOU WATCHED RECENTLY AND LAUGH AS YOU TELL IT,. (I DEMO)

5. FINALE: CLOSE YOUR EYES AND FEEL THIS LAUGHTER CIRCULATING THROUGHOUT.
