LINDA AND TOBE MAKE A DEATH TAPE

LINDA: Tobe, I need to make a tape about death and need it by next week at  3pm Wednesday. Is that OK? I cant tell you where I will show it because that is not for public knowledge.

TOBE: Lordy, Linda, I do hope you make a tape about death but I thought you were finished making tapes.

LINDA: I know it is  very disturbing to investigate this but death terrifies me and I need to talk to you about it. It will be  only a 3 minute tape, ok?

TOBE: I know that. OK as long as it is  under 3 minutes I will make it.  Let me do some research. Wikipedia says that death is the cessation of all biological functions that sustain a living organism. Phenomena which commonly bring about death include biological aging (senescence), predation, malnutrition, disease, suicide, homicide, starvation, dehydration, and accidents or trauma resulting in terminal injury.[1] Bodies of living organisms begin to decompose shortly after death.

LINDA:  I know that Tobe. Our friend Wikipedia also says that death – particularly the death of humans – has commonly been considered a sad or unpleasant occasion, due to the affection for the being that has died and the termination of social and familial bonds with the deceased. Other concerns include fear of death, necrophobia, anxiety, sorrow, grief, emotional pain, depression, sympathy, compassion, solitude, or saudade. What is saudade Tobe? Oh well, let me continue. Many cultures and religions have the idea of an afterlife, and also hold the idea of reward or judgement and punishment for past sin.

TOBE: I know that.  Oh Linda, how many minutes is this by now??? You promised only 3 minutes. I thought you retired? Do we have to make this tape? Please I beg you let’s not. Help!!! Help!!!!!!!!! Help.

LINDA: I know Tobe. This wont be too long. Have you ever heard of senescence? I think I have it Tobe because I’m in my late 70’s. Let me tell you about it:

Senescence refers to a scenario when a living being is able to survive all calamities, but eventually dies due to causes relating to old age. Animal and plant cells normally reproduce and function during the whole period of natural existence, but the aging process derives from deterioration of cellular activity and ruination of regular functioning . I know I look fabulous and not old at  all. Maybe I wont die Tobe, what do you think?

TOBE: It’s almost up. Your time that is. But here is some more information. Wikipedia says that

Signs of death or strong indications that someone is no longer alive are:

LINDA: Tobe, I’m still breathing, maybe I am still alive? DO I look alive to you????I don’t think I have

    • Livor mortis, a settling of the blood in the lower (dependent) portion of the body  OR
    • Algor mortis, the reduction in body temperature following death. This is generally a steady decline until matching ambient temperature  OR
    • Rigor mortis, the limbs of the corpse become stiff (Latin rigor) and difficult to move or manipulate   OR
    • Decomposition, the reduction into simpler forms of matter, accompanied by a strong, unpleasant odor.

TOBE: I know that. You’re still alive and so am I. Yayyyyyy. Time is up. Let’s go get a pizza , OK? I can have this to you by Tuesday. You promise me, this is truly our last tape, right???

LINDA: I know that Tobe.  Last tape.  YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
WE ARE ALIVE OH YES WE ARE
WE’RE WELL ENOUGH TO DRIVE OUR CARS
MOW OUR LAWNS AND WASH OUR FEET
OH LIFE OH LIFE YOU’RE SUCH A TREAT ,
SUCH A TREAT OH SUCH A TREAT, SUCH A TREAT, such a treat, such a treat.

  • LINDA AND TOBE MAKE A POLITICAL TAPE

LINDA AND TOBE MAKE A POLITICAL TAPE

    LINDA: Tobe, Wikipedia says that

Political philosophy, or political theory, is the study of topics such as politics, liberty, justice, property, rights, law, and the enforcement of a legal code by authority: what they are, why (or even if) they are needed, what, if anything, makes a government legitimate, what rights and freedoms it should protect and why, what form it should take and why, what the law is, and what duties citizens owe to a legitimate government, if any, and when it may be legitimately overthrown, if ever
TOBE: Wait wait Linda. I know that. But did you know that Wikipedia also talked about Aristotle and  said that he] was an ancient Greek philosopher and scientist born in the city of Stagira, Chalkidice, on the northern periphery of Classical Greece. His father, Nicomachus, died when Aristotle was a child, whereafter Proxenus of Atarneus became his guardian.[3] At seventeen or eighteen years of age, he joined Plato’s Academy in Athens[4] and remained there until the age of thirty-seven (c. 347 BC). His writings cover many subjects – including physics, biology, zoology, metaphysics, logic, ethics, aesthetics, poetry, theater, music, rhetoric, linguistics, politics and government – and constitute the first comprehensive system of Western philosophy.

LINDA: That is old hat Tobe. I know all of that. Right now,  Im worried about the politics of right now which I know a lot about. And I need to make a tape about that.
Tobe: When do you need it by?

LINDA: Next weekend. I know you are busy but I have a show in an unnamed country. I don’t name it for political  reasons. I am a political person. I am a very political person. A very erudite political person.  The tape will be  about politics and regulatory and legal protections  reverted to 12th century capitalism replacing advertising  with international  functioning  fake accounts.  Do you think we can do this by then?

TOBE: Before we begin, let me tell you about a book i’m reading about private and not for public automation operating  computers from factories  certified by off shore extensions that provide free lunch for all Carnegie Mellon employees.
LINDA: Please Tobe do not talk about food or free lunches.  It is almost  3 oclock and I need to go in an hour. Sure, I know that  privacy is a commodity compromised by monetized surveillance covering indignant  evidence that voters who have been gnomically tested consider, given  the lost languages of benefits calculators. At least that is what they told us in a class I am taking online.
TOBE: Speaking of going online, a political theme underlaying economic  resources is uranium rich although aid trickled in  including  relationship managers, personal wealth managers  and financial advisors. Im happy about that. Confluences of conquests from  entrenching  government signifies a tremendous loss over the next  33 years.
LINDA: Tobe I know all of that and your timeframe and mine have to coincide, OK?  For the powerpoint, I will  indicate that fluid frontiers and oil pipelines  superceed  executive orders on Wednesdays only. All other  contact , global  misinformation or big drug misinformants attack clueless secular  identities..
TOBE: Repealing, replacing  and sherperding  votes is legislatively congressional.
LINDA: I know that Tobe. Let’s put those concepts and ideas in the next volume titled: available evidence, OK?

TOBE; I know that LInda. ok. See you tomorrow. I can UPS this to wherever you are going.

LINDA: I cant tell you where Im going. It is a top secret. My internet might be shut down . I will pick it up tomorrow. OK?
TOBE:  I know that. Ok you pick it up.

Subject: RE: Invitation to authors, n.paradoxa: 3 July 2017, London conference

    Dear Linda,
Thank you so much for this – it is wonderful. Encouraging and really pertinent to what I am trying to achieve.
I will see what can be put together – and thank you again for the opportunity potentially to screen the U-tube video.
There was another contribution by you – which was the interview with Hilary Robinson – that you did.
I’ve attached it – just to ensure you have it for your own records. No need to add further comments.
Lots of love and best wishes,

LINDA MARY MONTANO  STATEMENT RESPONSE: FOR KATY DEEPWELL/NPARADOXA

How did the article/interview/artist project that you published in n.paradoxa represent a moment in your own intellectual history?
MY article  MONEY IS GREEN TOO MANIFESTO was born when I attended OCCUPY WALLSTREET  NYC and saw/felt/smelled the result of focusing on $$$$$$$$$$ only to the detriment of inner peace, especially when I read   one of the signs: COMPASSION IS THE NEW CURRENCY.
Being at this demonstration was like being in a war. It was trerrifying and big and momentous. I felt I might get killed.

Money had already killed me because I grew up in daily reminders of it’s importance. My parents were depression-30’s survivors and  second generation immigrants–Ireland and Italy…They worked themselves to soul death, almost, and I feared eating because they had to work sooo hard to feed us.

BY escaping the stink of money I entered a convent at  19 and didn’t last, leaving 2 yeas later going from 135-80 pounds, food and emotional traumas still issues.
Because my art is my life, and money was/is still a big life-brain toxicity, I wrote about it, made a video about money and still go to therapy about it!!! And I’m 75! You would think, wouldn’t you?

Was it the start of an area of work for you or the end of something?
My relationship to money will only get better with intense meditation and time and maybe loss of ability to count?
Was it a continuation of long-term interests or a one-off?
Not a one-off. Am grateful to n.paradoxa   for listening to my money “share.”
Maybe you have a story or anecdote about reactions to the journal from colleagues? Or something that happened as a result of publication?
n.paradoxa   and England aer always held with HIGH ESTEEM In America and with our current leader DT in “charge” we wonder why we ever left your shores!!!!
