BUTTERFLY AT ROSEKILL

BUTTERFLY AT  ROSEKILL

BUTTERFLY

Sometimes nature trumps art! The other day it certainly did at Rosekill Performance space owned/founded and curated by Jill McDermid and Erik Hoaksom in Rosendale NY. I was leaving after a swim, saying good-bye to Hoak and an incredibly small/miniature/baby butterfly was spotted by "group think," that is, within a precious second, people who were scattered by 20 or more feet, found themselves  silently and without having been alerted, converged around and surrounding as if by magical intent, a beautiful, sweet , young and unsolicited woman who was "wearing"  that shimmering and shuddering baby butterfly on HER NOSE! It was seemingly stuck there by phrenome attraction, by true love and great life-art.
This group of artists, used to making/witnessing the mirages of the unknown made known, got the message:
THIS IS THE REAL THING!!!!
