There are Muslims from different cultures. To put all groups together as one is stereotyping them all without trying to fully understand them. The idea that Muslims do not want to integrate is not totally true.

Olu Apampa: +Jon Seymour Despite the recent terrorist attacks in France. Muslims have been living in France for decades and if you knew your history you would understand why they live in France. Most of the problems regarding Muslims and Arabs, or minorities has been down to French politician's complencency and aloofness towards Muslims. The failure of the French to integrate minorities into mainstream society. Many minorities live in estates isolated from mainstream French society, basically ignored and isolated. This treatment has made a lot of Muslim youths angry and bitter and drove some into the hands of terrorist groups like IS. It is easy to stereotype all Muslims because of the action of few. But before people judge Muslims who live in France, try to understand what they go through on a daily basis. How would you feel if the country you live basically ignored your existence and refused to acknowledge your existence in the media or mainstream society. And did very little to integrate your people into French society.

police seem to double tap regardless of the assailant having a weapon or not.
Regardless, the risk reduces if you wound an assailant, surely there is more chance of the assailant dropping the weapon after being shot with a non fatal shot. If the danger persists, you can move on to a double tap?

S Mann: +The Poet Sullivan true that these officers have a split second to decide what to do, however, they also have years of training to back it up. Enough training not to become the stereo typical police officer who seem to be 'trigger happy' rather than really calculating risk and making a decision based on it.

However, logic dictates:
1. PD's have had years and years of statistics, scenarios, training to be able to improve the current rate of fatal shootings
2. the type of response you see currently, mirrors the response of an untrained average joe, i.e. to kill the risk before it kills you rather than to suppress a situation.

A 15 year old cannot be expected to shoot with good accuracy regardless of the weapon type. Perhaps the officers were worried about a rogue bullet reaching an unsuspected passer by if a shot was fired, or perhaps they just see an object which look like a gun and like a bull seeing red, they start shooting to kill, rather than suppress?

I am not a professional, i have never been in the situation so my comments are based on 'logic'. perhaps it would be a different story if i was in the situation. 100% agree with your last statement though, you don't pull anything at an officer and not expect a rebuttal which could be lethal. unfortunately, its lethal more times than not.
