Dyna 3000 Switch Settings 12 Years ago
This thread discusses the Content article: Dyna 3000 Switch Settings

I am considering changing from my stock ignition module. I am looking at the Dyna3000 and the offering from Yamaha (Speedstar). From the limited research I've done so far it appears that the Dyna3000 offers a greater range of adjustment.

Is one preferred over the other?

Tom,

If your are anticipating doing some future engine mods like pistons, cams, etc. then go with the Dyna as it will give you more flexibility in settings.

If not then go with whatever one is cheaper as they both work effectively for a moderately stock engine.

and left TPS unpluged.Just not sure???.I looked in Tech tips
thinking I might find it.Not sure on the setting for 5000 RPM

I would go with the speedstar because of the warranty etc thing.. Yamaha knows that motor better than anybody.. IMO.. and they have a good stage program with OEM parts with Speedstar If Yamaha doesnt make it THEN go elsewhere...Aftermarket
parts may or not be better but Yamaha... does offer quite the menu of Competition upgrades
Hey Tom how do you like that Muff so far???

Post edited by: Pop Rivet, at: 2006/09/23 10:13
